Moving billboards are preferred by a large portion of marketers due to their high recall rates. The recall rate is now at 97 percent. This strategy often guarantees the highest number of customers being reached. Thus, it is a suitable method to be employed to attract new customers and inform them about existence of new or already existing products.

The billboards vary in size according to the preferences of the marketer. Most billboard trailers, however, are designed to be eight feet in width and 35 feet in length. In addition, the distance covered by the trailer used for the campaign also influences the cost of the whole process. The cost will be high if the trailer spends most of the day travelling over long distances. But in a campaign where the trailer spends most of the time parked at a certain place, the cost will be relatively lower. This is because fuel consumption is also low.

There are many companies that provide this service to people and other companies. When one need to hire one, it is best to go to the company in person and place the order. Part of placing an order involves discussing the kind of banner one wants. Usually, the workers in the company will provide several formats, templates, and examples of banners to pick from.

Work commences once one makes a decision about the kind of banner to be used and the way the campaign will be carried out. The places to be visited by the trailer are based on the agreement between the company and the client. The price of designing and coming up with the banner may not be included in the cost of executing the campaign itself.
