What's the Affordable Connectivity Program? 

 The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is aU.S. government program run by the Federal Dispatches Commission (FCC) program to help low- income homes pay for internet service and connected bias like a laptop or tablet. 

  You're likely eligible if your ménage’s income is below 200 of the Federal Poverty Line, or if you or someone you live with presently receives a government benefit like SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, WIC, Pell Grant, or Free and Reduced- Price Lunch. 

 Still, you could admit 

 If your ménage is eligible. 

 Up to a$ 30/ month reduction on your internet service 

Up to a$ 75/ month reduction if your ménage is on qualifying Ethnical lands 

 A one- time reduction of over to$ 100 for a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer (with aco-payment of further than$ 10 but lower than$ 50) 

 Only one yearly service reduction and one device reduction is allowed per ménage. To admit the connected device reduction, consumers need to enroll in the ACP with a sharing provider that offers connected bias ( Note not all internet company offer device abatements.) The internet company will give the reduction to the consumer. 

The Affordable Connectivity Program is an FCC benefit program that helps insure that homes can go the broadband they need for work, academy, healthcare and further. 

  The benefit provides a reduction of over to$ 30 per month toward internet service for eligible homes and up to$ 75 per month for homes on qualifying Ethnical lands. Eligible homes can also admit a one- time reduction of over to$ 100 to buy a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from sharing providers if they contribute further than$ 10 and lower than$ 50 toward the purchase price. 

The Affordable Connectivity Program is limited to one yearly service reduction and one device reduction per ménage. 

  Who Is Eligible for the Affordable Connectivity Program? 

A ménage is eligible for the Affordable Connectivity Program if the ménage income is at or below 200 of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, or if a member of the ménage meets at least one of the criteria below 

  Entered a Federal Pell Grant during the current award time; 

 Meets the eligibility criteria for a sharing provider's being low- income internet program; 

Participates in one of these backing programs 

 The National School Lunch Program or the School Breakfast Program, including through the USDA Community Eligibility Provision; 

 SNAP 

 Medicaid 

Federal Public Housing Assistance 

 Supplemental Security Income (SSI) 

 WIC 

 Veterans Pension or Survivor Benefits 

or Lifeline; 

 Participates in one of these backing programs and lives on Qualifying Ethnical lands 

 Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance 

 Tribal TANF 

 Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations 

 Ethnical Head Start ( income grounded) 

 How Does the ACP Cover Consumers? 

FCC rules cover Affordable Connectivity Program donors by 

  Empowering consumers to choose the service plan that stylish meets their requirements ( including a plan they may formerly be on); 

 Icing consumers have access to supported broadband services anyhow of their credit status; 

 Proscribing providers from banning consumers with history due balances or previous debt from enrolling in the program; 

 Precluding consumers from being forced into more precious or lower quality plans in order to admit the ACP; 

 Icing that consumers aren't liable for early termination freights; 

 Reducing the eventuality for bill shock or other fiscal damages; 

 Allowing ACP donors to switch providers or broadband service immolations; and 

 Furnishing a devoted FCC process for ACP complaints.
