It's something that we all do. You might spend 10 hours hunched over your desk, keep your spine curved while walking or let your shoulders slump forward. You know that good posture is important but you might not have the energy. Even though these habits seem meaningless, they can all lead to significant back pain.

Unless you have been injured or suffer from a degenerative disease, it's likely that your back pain stems from habits in your daily routine. To reduce the risk of chronic back pain, your local chiropractor suggests that you develop a chiropractic regiment to keep your spine aligned and healthy.

Eat Healthy Foods To Fight Inflammation

Start drinking green, herbal, white and oolong tea. Bright-colored fruits and vegetables, olive oil and green tea all help to limit inflammation in the cartilage that exists within the spinal column to produce less pain and stiffness. Foods that are rich in Vitamin D and calcium can also promote strong spinal bones. Eat plenty of yogurt, leafy greens, milk and calcium supplements. You can get more Vitamin D by eating organ meets, fatty fish, egg yolks and cheese.

Reduce the Strain on Your Back

You can alleviate spinal strain and stress in many different ways. Start by maintaining a balanced body weight. You should additionally stress muscles that are stiff and sore and work to build your back muscles up. Leave your heavy purse at home to avoid misalignment issues and muscle strain on a single side of your body. You should also work to get regular and good quality sleep as well.

Preventing Lower Back Pain With Sleep

When you sleep, it's important to pay attention to your position to avoid waking up with back pain every day. If you sleep on your side, put a pillow between your knees to help avoid letting your top leg fall over the bottom one. For back sleepers, a pillow under the knees takes pressure off the spine. For additional support, roll up a small towel and place it under the curve of the spine.

Choose The Right Shoes

Wearing comfortable shoes with low heals can alleviate pain and discomfort while you walk and stand. Always choose footwear that has a heel of less than one inch.
