Being generous does not result from owning a lot. It arises from the love to give and in the process change the lives of other people. Religious books and recordings have examples of people who were generous in the most challenging situations. There are simple ways of Facilitating Generosity and making it a natural part of life. Here are the easiest of them which apply whether you live in plenty or are struggling with daily survival yet want to lift the lives of other people.

Consider the benefits you reap and those that go to the recipient of your action. The giver experiences a feeling of satisfaction because of the impact the donation has on the life of the recipient. On the part of the recipient, there is a great sense of ease since he or she can do things that were previously impossible. Changing that lives of other people is incredibly satisfying, despite the action arising out of the use of meager resources.

As a giver, you are invited to embrace that feeling of gratitude. You develop gratitude by being thankful about the thinks you have in life. Do not focus too much on physical possessions because they can be deceitful. Subtle stuff like daily bread, friends, opportunities in life and good health, among others that are ordinarily ignored will enhance your feeling of gratitude.

Start small, at your level. Most people think that giving is for those with plenty of resources. They also think that you must give a lot for you to be considered as generous. Some of the instances require very little in terms of contribution. Such small gifts will change the life of recipients. Your small contribution is all some people need to change their lives forever.

Choose a course that you can believe in for contributions. You might be invited to a mission that is beyond your understanding. To have a clear conscience, only lend support to a course you can identify with. This will give you a feeling of satisfaction and impact since you can relate to the need.

Spend time with the needy. When you are privileged, it is common to be indifferent about the plight of others. In fact, you are likely to think that their condition is self inflicted. When you spend time with the afflicted, you understand their predicaments and soften your stand to give.

Consider spending time with people who are generous. You will realize that their lives are the most satisfying and rewarding anyone would desire. Though they are philanthropic in their actions, they never lack anything. In fact, such actions open more doors for them to give. Their act of giving changes their lives and those of people around them.

Generosity arises from the desire to transform the lives of people around you and believing in the fact that they can live a better life. Buy the idea that such people need help to enable you contribute towards their uplifting. While the lives of recipients are changed, you enjoy personal satisfaction and gratitude. It is more about having an impact on the fortunes of others than what you give.
