For shorter people, fashionable trends and the latest designs, the elevated heel is a favorable style. These types of modifications deliver a lift inside the shoe or with a thicker platform providing height while creating an appealing appearance. It is important to consider the following health factors when choosing shoe elevation with a thicker heel and interior lift.

Many shoe brands have incorporated elevation or lifted heels with cushioning on the inside and a thicker sole on the outside. The elevated heels and platforms can provide a little extra height, making it an appealing purchase choice for shorter men and women. While a higher platform or elevated heel seems appealing, learning of its true features and functions can help make the best foot health choices.

Boots, running shoes, and children's footwear possess a moderate to soft layer of material at the heel of the shoe. The wedge or elevation should be stable and straight to protect your body and feet from pressure and misalignment. The experience of pain in your knees and hips can make movement increasingly difficult and requires supportive footwear.

It is a good idea to wear shoes with a platform that do not include high lifts that maintain angled foot positions. Any style of footwear chosen should offer a good fit and the appropriate levels of support to minimize pain and problems from developing.
