Before one decides to buy a phone system for their business, it is first important for buyers to understand the different types of phone systems that exist in the market, and the packages offered. The Business Phone System Buyers Tampa Florida are not any different. Phones systems have come a long way and below gives a brief discussion of where they have come from and the types that are now.

Though it is getting more and more out of use, the traditional structures are the first to have been in use. Their basic structure involves a central box and the multiple landlines connected to it by the copper cables. The central box handles how the received calls are directed.

It also allows for users to share lines but can only allow a limited number of users to call simultaneously. The disadvantage associated with this is that it is expensive to set up for both the box and also the copper wire lines to connect the landlines. But if it already what is in use then its wiser for you to keep using it.

These are recently being replaced by IP PBX, which is an upgrade from the traditional structures. They still have a central box but instead use IP networking to function. The phones, instead of the previously used copper lines, use Ethernet cables. They are better than traditional structures in that, they allow for expansion of the telephone network and also remote accessibility, one can access it wherever they are as long as they are connected to the network.

This type has an added advantage compared to traditional structures in that as long as you are connected to the network or any other platform of the same nature, one can access the telephone structure remotely. It has a lot of similarity to traditional structure in that it still requires the use of the PBX box.

This kind of structure is preferred over the traditional structure because it allows expansion and easier relocation of the entire property in an economical manner. They also offer extra features such as voice mail to email capabilities. For those with slow internet connectivity, traditional structures may work better than IP PBX structures. For the IP PBX, one has to buy their own hardware devices maintain and repair in case of a problem. In other words, one has full control over it.

Here then is a simple comparison. The traditional structure is advantageous in that its very reliable and has a good voice quality. However, they it can be quite expensive to expand because of the additional rewiring that Is required and also flexibility is not supported as in frequent moving calls for professional rewiring.

Bigger scale business as long as they have a high speed internet connection are best suited with the IP PBX telephone structure which function very well when being used. If they do not have a high speed internet connection and do not require portability as in access from anywhere, traditional structures would work better for them. Those that would prefer portability and are a smaller scale business with no intention of purchasing the equipment required, the hosted PBX then would be the best option.
