When talking about the most unique social media websites, Tumblr has to rank highly. It's easy to see why, seeing as how it's arguably the most popular website for microblogging purposes. It also has a largely younger audience compared to other channels, which is a fact that all Internet marketing companies can support. With that said, if you'd like to use Tumblr for your own marketing needs, here are the do's and don'ts to follow.

DO create a unique-looking account. The first thing to know about Tumblr is that everyone has their own accounts. These are largely managed through the blogs that are created, which means that you should spend time making yours unique. You might do this through certain pictures or colors, or maybe it's the entire layout that you'll be focused on. Regardless, uniqueness goes a long way, as any Internet marketing company will attest.

DON'T forget to follow others. If you find other Tumblr blogs with similar content to yours, why ignore them? Tumblr gives you the ability to follow blogs, much like how Twitter allows you to other follow users. By doing so on the former website, you will be able to see the posts they create on your feed, allowing you to stay updated on what they're up to. Following others matters, not just on Tumblr but social media as a whole.

DO know the features of Tumblr. Like any other social media platform, Tumblr boasts a collection of features you can take advantage of. According to authorities like fishbat, users can queue posts for the future, meaning that you won't have to post them immediately. You can also draft posts you've been creating so that you can come back to them later. These are just a few features that Internet marketing companies can use to get the most out of this platform.

DON'T take a serious tone on Tumblr. One of the worst things that you can do on Tumblr is take yourself too seriously. The reason for this is that the large majority of people on this website seem to take to humorous content. This can be found in various forms, ranging from short videos of dogs to GIFs of comedy segments. Whatever the case may be, if you showcase your funny side on Tumblr, it'll be easier to receive reblogs, likes, and followers alike.
