The vehicle audio is one equipment that is being installed to a car or to other vehicle types for enabling the occupants to be entertained and also to receive any information. For the old types of car, the audio is controlled by pressing the buttons placed on dashboards but in the modern cars, it is controlled either through voice commands or through the steering wheels. This became part not only to music and radio but also of hands free calling, telematics, navigation, telecommunication, remote diagnostic system, and vehicle security.

For people who cannot be able to provide their own expensive car, for sure, their vehicle contains only low quality of stereo system. A low quality audio usually results to the distortion of the louder volumes and you cannot have a bass and clarity which you really want. So the purpose of this article is to provide you with the simple descriptions of steps which are needed to upgrade the custom car audio.

The article assumes you have already acquired some little knowledge concerning this subject. Most of the advices here can be applied to almost all vehicles, but there are some information which are not relevant for use in some vehicles. Also, most of the descriptions are not relevant to old vehicle types. If you have already acquired a basic understanding and knowledge on wood working, fiberglass, and electronic components, it would really help you a lot.

Sound systems are consist of the main parts which are referred to as head units. This part has the most interaction with the listener. A lot of reasons have come out based on why people would want or would need head unit replacement. Some reasons include having a low quality, do not have an ample aesthetic feature, the user is not contented with the features, or have not provided an enough power to speakers.

So now the first step is replacing the head unit. You will need to purchase first a new unit and make sure that you are going to purchase a unit that will cater to your car audio. At times, one difficult question that may be hard for you to answer is what type of brand you will purchase. So one important tip here is browsing the internet or look for some reviews about some particular brands.

Next for purchasing is the removal of old unit. Special pins can be used to easily remove it. The dash should be removed as well for accessing head units. Get the radio by removing all the screws. See to it that all wires and antenna are disconnected from power supplies. Do this steps in a reverse manner when starting to reinstall.

Second, replace your speakers. Speakers with poor quality should be replaced with modernized components which would result to having enormous improvement in its sound quality. Next, removing the screws that hold speakers in place, then disconnect all wires. Attach the new component.

Third, replace the amplifiers. These are devices which will provide much more amount of power to the speakers. These are being grounded by using separate wires into power lines. A power line is its connection to vehicle battery.

Fourth, replacement of subwoofer. A subwoofer is a type of large speaker, playing a low frequency sound while producing bass. The subwoofer is connected to amplifier and this is sealed by a silicone.
